Tika masala with pita bread


This is one of my "Home alone" favorites, when we lived inWashington DC it was the working girls lunch hide away to go to a small little Indian restaurant


For Marinade: 


  • 1 cup plain yogurt {I used Greek} 
  • 3 tablespoons Ginger-Garlic Paste, recipe follows 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon pepper 
  • Tika masala 
  • 3 minute steaks,cut into large bite sized chunks 

For Sauce: 

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil 
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste 
  • 1 Tika masala seasoning
  • 2 HEAPING teaspoons paprika 
  • 1 cans diced tomatoes 
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt 
Naan Bread, Tomatoes and creme fraiche for serving
